[ WEEKLY AI CAPACITY PLANNER ]

QuotaTempo

Turn AI capacity into today’s plan.

See weekly Codex and Claude capacity beside the even-use target for the current moment.

Opt in to Claude Desktop to read capacity and reset times using your existing Desktop login, without a separate CLI login or an open Chrome tab.

[ 12-SECOND WALKTHROUGH ]

See the menu-bar view before you install.

A silent, 12-second look at the weekly comparison and the detail view.

A walkthrough using v0.1.3 sample data dated 7 Sep 2026, not current usage. It shows Full mode; the first-run default is Icon only. See the latest guide for Desktop connection setup.

[ W / P / ± ]

W and P, in one place.

A balance alone does not tell you whether you are ahead of or behind the plan. QuotaTempo reduces the decision to three visible values.

W

Weekly left

The weekly capacity currently remaining.

P

Target now

The balance that would remain now under an even pace to the weekly reset.

±

Vs target

How far the current balance is above or below the plan, in percentage points.

When it fits

Use QuotaTempo when you want to see not just what is left this week, but how it compares with an even pace toward the reset. Use Codex or Claude on its own, or compare both in the same way.

Requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. Sign in to a supported official app or CLI first.

[ APP PREVIEW / SAMPLE DATA ]

One glance from the menu bar.

Show Codex, Claude, or both. Choose Full, Compact, or Icon only to fit your menu bar. This is a sample screen from v0.1.3.

QuotaTempo v0.1.3 English sample screen showing weekly Codex and Claude capacity, current targets, and differences from target.
Sample values from v0.1.3, not current usage.

[ CLAUDE CODE / COMPARISON ONLY ]

Claude Code values, for comparison only.

An optional Claude Code usage connection shows weekly and five-hour remaining capacity and reset times reported by a running Code session with Mods support, separately from ordinary observations.

  • Prepare with separate explicit consent, then connect from your chosen Code session. This is separate from the Desktop connection; ordinary Desktop Chat and Cowork are not supported
  • Comparison-only values never affect W/P, planning, Automatic or Claude Desktop sources or observations
  • The session account and provider observation time are unverified. Code observed is a local observation time
  • Only the Terminal setup tool requires Node.js 20 or later and the official Claude Code CLI 2.1 series, 2.1.287 or later. These are not additional prerequisites for ordinary QuotaTempo use
  • The encrypted local connection keeps capacity and ephemeral private keys in memory only. Disconnect or Quit clears them; expired values are hidden. Restarting never restores the connection automatically: connect explicitly again
  • Provider changes may prevent QuotaTempo from retrieving usage data. Connection alone does not guarantee a measurement; values come from reports during genuine work

[ LOCAL-FIRST BOUNDARY ]

Your work content stays outside the product boundary.

Automatic remains the default Claude source. With Claude Desktop installed and signed in, select Claude Desktop, choose Connect Desktop, read the notice below the capacity list, then choose Agree and connect. If permission is needed, choose Allow macOS access, then Always Allow in the system dialog. One-time Allow cannot complete the connection.

  • Automatic local/CLI acquisition does not read credentials, cookies, or Keychain contents. Normalized observations stay on the Mac
  • Desktop reads the encrypted authentication cache, cookie-store organization metadata, and Keychain protection key to authenticate requests to Anthropic for capacity and reset times. Always Allow grants ongoing access to that protection key
  • Credentials and Desktop observations stay in memory only. No conversations or prompts are read; raw responses are not saved. Only settings, consent, and scheduling metadata persist for this connection. The app sends no telemetry
  • Desktop never mixes in or falls back to local history, CLI, or browser values. A separately running browser extension is not stopped, but its values are ignored while Desktop is selected
  • Saved consent allows reconnection at startup only while Desktop is selected and Claude is on. Disconnect, turning Claude off, or choosing Automatic revokes consent and clears Desktop values. The macOS access grant must be removed separately
  • Provider changes may prevent QuotaTempo from retrieving usage data. Refresh does not bypass provider waits

[ DOWNLOAD / VERIFY / RUN ]

A signed and notarized public build.

QuotaTempo supports Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. Download the ZIP and SHA256SUMS from the same GitHub Release, expand it in Finder, and move the app to Applications. No Gatekeeper bypass is required.

QuotaTempo starts in Icon only mode. Open the menu to see W (weekly remaining) and P (an even-pace reference). Choose Full mode if you want numbers in the menu bar. P is not a guarantee of available capacity or an instruction to switch providers.

From ZIP to first launch: the v0.1.3 installation video.

A silent, 38-second walkthrough from an older release, covering Finder extraction through first launch. See the latest guide for Desktop connection setup.

The first part shows installation of v0.1.3; the ending shows sample screens from that version, not current usage.

[ FEEDBACK ]

Turn first use into the next improvement.

QuotaTempo is open to everyone. Share whether W beside P clarifies weekly pacing and where the first-run experience still creates friction.

This opens your email app; you choose whether to send. Please do not include quota values, reset times, screenshots, credentials, or conversation content.
